Based on all of the discussions in ORIGIN OF THE D5, how are different people populating their Klingon Fleets? My fleet is multi-era and looks like this:

B-1 = Atra's B-1
B-10 series = normal Cleeve's Bird of Death
B-11K = huge Cleeve Bird of Death (after Regent's Mirror ship)

C-3 = KA Vod'LeH kitbashed with Moon's D-8 engines
C-5 series= P81 K'Vort (wings up)
C-6 series = P81 K'Vort
C-7 = Cleeve's Kvek
C-8 series = Vorcha
C-8K = Vorcha (wings up)
C-9 series = 4 engined Neghvar
C-10K = huge 2 engined Neghvar

D-2 = kG1-like ship (klingon LOST YEARS kitbash)
D-3 = ENT kBOP (VORT' CHA kitbash to match TV show)
D-4 = SFM D-4
D-5 = ENT D-5
D-6 = ENT D-4 (kitbashed Atra D-6 to match TV show)
D-7 series = Stresspuppy and Atra versions

In the meantime, I am working on revamping ALL my fleets. I am NOT a FASA/SFB/SFC/KA purist and I try really hard to only use non-canon ships in my personal SFC game. My Klingons cloak and fire torpedoes. I like the idea of stripping the Heavy Torpedoes off Federation ships and making them Klingon Academy Style racially exclusive to the Klingons but that will also require rearming the other main races ships accordingly.

I am leaning towards a more streamlined approach with standardization as a key factor in the Klingon fleet. What I mean is, in my corner of the Trek universe if a ship has the same warp engines, sheilds and weapons shouldn't the spec file reflect that?
I also believe that BIG warships aren't necessarily better. I'm considering revamping the Feds to have carriers as the biggest ships while the Klingons may have one or two battleships (P81's D2 pack KBB still rocks) but I'm feeling that doesn't really jive with their wolf pack /strike hard and fast mentality. I like the idea of the Romulans on the otherhand having fewer ships but bigger and more powerful ones than either the Feds or the Klingons.

Atrahasis' C-7 and D-10 are the GOLD standard for Klingon ships IMHO.

I have an Atrahasis based C-7/5 SuvwI' qeH that I may move out of my KCX slot for a KDNL slot.

I am also considering moving the VoDleH to the KBB slot as part of my experiment on the strike force idea.

I may move the Terradyhne's K'teremny from my KDX slot to the KCX slot.

Meanwhile the L'rexa makes a good KFF substitute for the absurd Klingon BOP. T

The versitle Atrahais D-10 is my standard KCA and the L-9 Saber is my KCL.

The D-16 is my stock KDD while the D-18 Gull and K'torr DD fill out the destroyer roles in SFC: OP+ for me.

Klingon starbases are: Klingon Academy Outpost (three armed) as my SB and the no armed Outpost as my KBS.

I use a reduced sized QuD as my KPFT, the stock KFT as a heavy fighter and the Targwharm as my stock KFT.

Stardock: I use a TMP retextured ST: Armada shipyard
Listening post: SFC3 XLP Klingon retexture of the stock XLP.

Freighter: Stock SFC, Cardassian style and Atrahasis Klingon Merchantman.

TUGS: I'd like to have a 0, 1 and 2 pod version of the N-6 but Atrahasis has not made a 1 pod version yet. Currently I'm using a STOCK KCX version that has 0, 1, 2 and 3 pods.

Oh - I almost forgot. I use the MODEL.SIZ file to scale the ships and use <ship length in meters> * 0.018 to put them in a common scale. The fighters are a bit small but still visible and the cruisers are about the same size they were in the game originally. If the ship is from BABYLON5, STARGATE, ALIENS, STARSHIP TROOPERS, WING COMMANDER, or BSG you have to reduce them (I use 0.356 for B5, 0.534 for all but BSG, 0.431 for BSG) to make them comparable in size to STAR TREK ships assuming NEW GALACTICA roughly = B5 OMEGA roughly = EXCELSIOR. Really huge ships I try to scale down to around Rom D'DEDERIX size.

for K-5 CL I use Atra's KN6 without the aircraft pods

for fighters I use 60m BOP, Zentradi Gnerl ftr, kG1, and recolored Rom ftr

my klingon shuttle is a kitbashed ALIENS dropship

I haven't figured out exactly how to arrange the fleet yet.

I still use Lord Delekhan's Daturak for the B11 and his Vorcha for a C9.
Generally WZ's models make up my later ships, and Atra's make up the early ships.

I'm still waiting for Atra to finish the Klingon frigates.

Historical reasons -- Masao's site is good and for many years was the ONLY source of pre-TOS ships. Anduril, Deadmeat, and many others "cut their 3D teeth" modelling these ships. In the case of his D-4 and D-5 he tried to make "crude" looking ships that conceivably could have evolved into TOS ships (as opposed to FASA/FJ's approach of "let's try all permutations of kitbashing TOS ships" to make pre-TOS ships). Like everything else, some of the designs (kD4, kD5, SIEGFRIED, PYOTR VELIKIY) looked better than others (the Fed Romulan War "bubble fleet"). In my game I use his kD-4, kD-5, SIEGFRIED, VALLEY FORGE, PYOTR VELIKIY, LANCASTER, WASP, SPECTRE, SAN FRANCISCO, Romulans, COMET, and Fed Romulan War ships.

i even like the Starfleet Museums Klingon D-series ships since this linage makes more sense than SFB and even canon Trek D-series linage.
SFB D-5/D-6/D-7 look like the same ships from far maybe its better to use designs that have proven to be good for their task but only stretching and seizing a standard hull to max, is in my thinking stupid, even for Klingons.

Oops -- I forgot to mention Masao's ASIA class. What a beauty. I've kitbashed Anduril's version of this six-ways-from-Sunday -- a version of the DECLARATION based on ASIA parts + DAEDALUS hull -- a version of the BONAVENTURE from the SHIPS OF THE LINE (STAR TREK) book of paintings -- the list goes "on" and "on".

Since TERRADYHNE is posting, I also want to thank him for his Masao SAN FRANCISCO, Masao Romulan CRACKER, and GAS'TATH (KOBAYASHI MARU) that I also use.
