Interesting...almost as thought she has 4 separate impulse exhaust points. And, possibly, 2 hangers, if you use your imagination. ;D

Why did they have to change that detail? If they just had to change something, why not add some glowing plasma like Atra did?
From Enterprise's mirror episode, I thought they were keeping the photon torpedoes light blue. Are the torpedoes always red now?
A question for those lucky enough to get to see these episodes: is the picture quality that bad on screen? All the stills I see look more blurry and grainy than the original.

Did ya all notice the phaser turrets flanking the matter intake housing? ;D

Happy to see the Disruptors in the right place and in the right color. Not sure about those impluse engines though... weren't they supposed to be on the hull-box?
Might take issue on how fast this thing is swinging around though. :\
Looks like the photon torpedoes almost strike the exact same spots where Gorkon's ship was hit in VI.

Did anyone see triple phaser balls at the bottom of the command pod?
This design would make a good D-7V because there's extra space atop for a fighter bay, similar to the way the B-10's bay is arranged.

Does the D-7V say anything about additional impulse engines though?
I wonder if we're supposed to expect this to be the "standard" canon D-7 for the rest of Trek?

The way it is on the B-10 is that the impulse engines are off to the sides to make room for a double-decker hangar.

Did the original TOS D7 even have impulse engine details? This one pictured at Ex Astris doesn't, but I don't know if that's the original shooting model or not. If it is, then where did the commonly accepted engine placement come from? I'm not sure I like it, but it at least seems to be an attempt to extrapolate from established details--the K't'inga has some sort of similar detail in the area where the extra engines were added, although they're not engines on the K't'inga.

The original placement of the D7 impulse engine was by Matt Jeffries himself as according to a diagram he did, though that area was not lit on the model or anything...but then again neither were the 1701's impulse engines.

I liked the effort, but the model was woefully underdetailed. It lacked even the detailing on the ram scoops, and had no venting or graphics on the pylons. I liked the impulse engines... well, at least the center pair. They looked oddly familiar, and sorta t'Ch'ann-ish:
