This is significant. It seems he is 1) just not on top of things, and 2) even if he has forewarning he just can't make the right decision on anything.
Personally, the reasons for this I think are quire clear: 1) He has a fairly low IQ and is far from being a logical thinker. He's more the type to act on emotions like fear. 2) He's always been a coaster, throughout his academic and military careers.
Now, in all fairness, this is not a splash on all Republicans. In fact, I think it is quite possible for a Republican party to lead the US and the rest of the world very well indeed. It's just that this time around the leadership is so incredibly bad it's not funny.
And as always, I hope everybody knows they can call me on my comments at any time!

The fact that he's a coaster got me thinking further: Basically, what I mean is that throughout his life he always relied on other people to take care of things for him, and when it came down to using his personal ability to succeed at something, he would fail because his personal skills and attributes are quite lacking. All of this may sound like I'm doing the same old Bush-bashing, but I challenge anyone to examine what we know about his life and say differently, and also think about what this means for his administration and everything that has happened.
For example, he got into Harvard Business School with a C+ average, because his father was an important man. His father also made it so he served in the national guard and never saw actual combat. He also owes his political career to the fact that his father was President and had important friends, all of whom he coasted on.
Now, as for his actual ability at anything, the fact that he can't even control his two rambunctious daughters says tons, which means even his ability as a father is in question. And as for direct and detailed knoweldge about X, he wouldn't need to bother to learn about it because he has people he is trusting implicitly to take care of it, people he is expecting and relying on to coast on.
The result: He don't know much, and those that know more than him can easily manipulate him to fulfill their own desires and agendas, the most prominent examples being the hawks like Cheny, Rummy, and probably Tenet though of course he ended up paying the price. And when things go bad, he will be the one to ultimately take the fall and the rap. It's quite brilliant of the hawks actually.
Let this be a lesson to us all that reading newspapers and keeping onself informed of the details is the best way to go whether one is president or clerk, because dammit there is just no subsitute for direct knowledge and a logical mind.

well all i can say is simple...the Democrats don't have anybody...and even if they did...you cannot be nieve enough to believe the the worlds problems rest upon one mans shoulders...he's just on the top of a totem pole that has been screwed up from day one...face it capitalism rules this world..religions follow it, all the governments follow it...and to tell you the truth it is totally natural...Capitalism just survival of the fittest put into terms that we as mankind subscribe to...how do you sutrvive in a world dictated by money...simple...you make money, and the more you have, the more "fit" you and your family are to live in this world that we have molded, and continue to mold. If Bush is not the man to be where he is now then who is?...face it you cannot blame the worlds problems on one man...that is evading the actual issue...one man is not the problem...everyone is...you cannot, not support what is occuring in this world as I type...if you get up every morning brush your teeth, take a shower, comb your hair, eat breakfast, go to work/school whatever, come home and do the cycle again, then everything you do supports the causes of all the BS in this world...oh its easy to point fingers but we are all part of it...and the sad thing is that if you live on this world then you cannot escape it...because it reaches every aspect of the world in one way or another. So if you want to use a Scapegoat...then sure go for it...if that is what makes you sleep better then so be it...but we as a species are in it together, and there is no way out of it. Unless we as a whole "grow-up" and realize that there are other options we will continue to feed this worlds problems which has essentially become an animal onto itself. Voting for anyone in power should always be the "best person for the job" regardless of where you are from...but unfortunately it is way more common to "Choose the lesser of the evils".
