Whoo-hoo! First post! Lovin' the misc. B'rel designs, any thoughts on a K'vort (big long-necked TNG versioin)? Anyway, glad to see you're getting some good recognition and still involved in the work. PL

PL Yes, in fact you read my mind, I plan to do a D-12 as well as a K'Vort. With subtle differences in line with known details re Klingon ships of course. But what do you mean by "long neck"? Do you mean it's supposed to have a longer neck than the original? If that's the case, news to me...and do you have any references?

Oh, and by the way, how are the FASA ship stats that I've posted working for you?
It's quite fun exploring the differences between the Romulan BOP variants and the Klingon ones. IMO I think the Romulan S-11 BOP has a slight edge over the Klingon K-22 BOP. The 4 X Ph-1's end up doing more damage than the 2 X PhX on the Klingon version.
Also, the V-24 Rom Great Bird has a deadly array of aft weaponry that makes it ideal for hit and fade attacks. Of course, the one drawback is that if it's to use its aft weaponry in a pass, it ends up having to cloak a bit later than the Klingon version.

The new "Stronger Bird" Variants are great! I really like the new paint jobes on both the S11 and the V24, very Romulan. My only questions are, where would the shuttlebay be on a 109m BoP, and what else do you have in store for us? I recall hearing about a Fed Frigate sometime ago...

Cool! ;D I love the idea that MORE FASA Trek ships are on the way! Perhaps some of the Trek Mods/Homeworld FASA ships will make their way to SFC finally too?
As always, I think the specs you have are really well balanced. I can't wait to see what you do for the D-10B and the other NON-Canon Trek ships you've done before.
Regarding the Monarch Class/Merchantman. Can you please make a ROMULAN variant?
Please update soon.

Actually, the ST;III BOP in FASA is 88m long, the 109 meter version is actually the "Stronger Bird", and presumable the bay would be on the underside somewhere....I imagine something like on the NX-01. Since it also carries mines I imagine they may egress from around the same area. I say that because there's simply no room at the back or the top!

As for the Monarch, I plan to make verisons for all the races, including Kzin, Hydran, Gorn, and Orion.

How about the modified Sheliak colony version from TNG:"The Ensigns of Command?" www.ex-astris-scientia.org/schematics/sheliak.jpgwww.ex-astris-scientia.org/scans/sheliak.jpgIt's supposed to be a bigger vessel by the shots in the episode, but you can treat it however you want. Speaking of freighters, if you wish to do any more "stock" (ie owned by all races) freighters, the Batris model (and her subsequent mutilations) would be the perfect choice. Bernd and Jörg Hillebrand made this very complete and interesting article about the Batris model and her various appearances throughout Trek from it's original appearance as the Visitor shuttle in "V" (no joke!) to it's place as an ore freighter in VOY: "Author, Author" It also disproves the very incorrect schematics of the Xhosa and reveals the vessels true and more interesting shape. www.ex-astris-scientia.org/articles/batris.htm

Either that or someone who knows how to do conversions from BC can send me the file in 3ds format. I can use that as a base to create all those other variants.

Just glad to find a refuge for SFC models and their fans. I doubt you remember me, but I was just another fan that used to hang around Taldren for awhile.
Bleh, I'm sure KF remembers me...maybe...I dunno. I do remember the long hard times, and the curse of the Melak.....heh heh heh. Glad old WZ made a good one.
Crap...I trailed off. Yes. It is good to see FASA stuff being made. I always did love their designs.
