Mid-March 2290 finds the Federation command cruiser Lexington receiving a rare opportunity to hone her tactical prowess within five minutes of shakedown against a spying Bird of Prey, thanks to her Class IX sensors. . . . . .only to discover she still needed more practice. An impromptu mission to intercept a suspected Klingon reconnaisance ring a few hours later took the Lexington into a closely fought battle against the Klingon command cruiser Decimation, which ended with the latter utilizing its enigmatic resonator cannon to inflict damage that required the Federation starship to return to drydock.

I didn't have time yet to get some proper beauty shots of this ship, but I'll post these two for now. Remember this model Atra? March 2000 was when you released that one according to the readme file with it. Dug it out of an old archive disc today ;D One of it firing a broadside.... I <3 Fire Support Cruisers

Ahh, the Vikrant. A personal favorite, especially back when all I played was the CFS.

LOL A blast from the past! That was a rather clever little one I did. But were I to redo it today I'd probably choose a TOS hull. ;D

I think I'm right in saying that your Vikrant is the only Fire Support Cruiser model ever made for SFC, unless the Eras Of War site ever did a kitbashed TMP Enterprise version.

The Enterprise's pursuit of Khan Noonien Singh in March 2285 wasn't the first time Cadet Saavik was lectured about critical tactical thinking. A simulator session in late May 2283 demonstrated why even an eliminated plasma torpedo is still a danger through a simulated V7 Aye mosaram (Whitewind) captain's capitalizing on her low speed with a precision nuclear mine drop.

Eyebrows amany are risen by this long-range sensor block from Federation Relay Station 7 in late August 2296. It's not surprising that the Klingons have plasma torpedo technology so much as it is ironic who they're using it against. . .

USS Excalibur is returning to dock for repairs after a long mission. USS Bonhomme Richard forces a Klingon D6 to withdraw with critical damage as another D6 maneuvers in behind her to avoid getting a visit from a photon torpedo barrage.

Even in death, Captain James T. Kirk is a nuisance to the Federation's enemies via an X-series battlecruiser. This sensor still taken in April of 2300 shows his namesake teaming up with the starship Excelsior to eliminate a V30T stolen by the Wyldefire Compact.

I know the background of this shot is boring. And I haven't cropped the game UI out of it. But I just like this model, especially with some AA and Aniso filtering.
