I enjoyed it - definitely has potential, and it's nice to see John Barrowman back as Captain Jack. Interesting twist to his character now, puts me in mind of another Captain (and not a Trek one).

i know torchwood from doctor who but a show call torchwood no 'tis a spin-off of Doctor Who (and an anagram obviously while it's at it). Rather more "adult" themed, later time slot (10pm on BBC3 rather than 7pm on BBC1), features the character of Captain Jack Harkness from the first season of the 'new' Doctor Who working for Torchwood in Cardiff. We don't know how he got there yet, guess it'll be revealed later in the series.

Didn't realize it was on yet, have to have a look for a friend. Slightly off-topic, does anyone know if there'll be another Christmas special or something like that (ie, something extra before the next series starts) this year for Doctor Who?

Believe they said that there would be a Christmas episode, one which resolves the rather odd cliffhanger they ended on. Not sure if they're doing a short for the Children In Need night this time, that's coming up soon.

Thanks for the info--that should work nicely for making DVD's of the broadcast versions...

Episode 4 aired yesterday....and my God it was good.... Who else thinks the writing team were channelling Gerry Anderson when they gave Jack that interesting ability?
