Think it's been released in the US now....UK gets it just before Christmas.
I'm not certain that I'll be getting it. From what I understand, it's dumbed quite a way down from the level of stuff like SFC2 and Bridge Commander. Unless it proves to be very mod-able of course....then it might hold my interest for a little while. Was taking a look at the 'play time' stuff I have installed right now - three racing sims (NASCAR Racing 2003, rFactor and the ever-present and glorious Grand Prix Legends - 8 years old and still kicking my arse every time I try and do a lap of the Nordschleife without stacking it), another driving game (FlatOut 2) and Combat Flight Sim 2.
For the first time since SFC1 came out I don't have a Trek related game installed. Hell, I don't even have the discs with me - they're all in a box at my parents' house. Bridge Commander got boring for me a while back, but I may install it again sometime next year and see what's been added to it by the modding community. SFC3....sold it and don't plan on buying a copy again. SFC2/OP - like Bridge Commander, may end up on my HDD again at some point but I've pretty much already had my money's worth out of it in playing time....and I can't imagine anything hugely new being done with it unless the source code magically appears in the hands of the community one day.
I'm already hearing noises of Legacy being a tad on the buggy side as well. Jolly good. Nice to see companies are learning absolutely sod all from Activision/Taldren's mistakes....
