I'm sure everyone here knows by now, but Arthur C. Clark just died after a long illness. It's sad to look over his optimistic predictions and see how many realistic advances we have failed to make. He knew his time was coming to an end, and a few months ago recorded his last public message on his ninetieth birthday. Atra, you ought to put your Discovery back up for download. I bet a lot of people are going to look for it in the next few days.

Why Sri Lanka?
Former British Colony, warm weather year round and probably cheaper to live there.
He will be missed.
You should put up your Discovery in tribute to Sir Clarke...

The notice of his passing brought many memories of his books that I read. I borrowed a lot of his novels from the My high school Library Childhoods End, Rendevous with Rama, and many others and I read them with great interest and enjoyed them. We lost a great talent threre.
