Many people may be inclined to believe that were I an American I'd be a Democrat and vote for them all the time. Untrue, because were there a Republican that I liked that I thought would lead the country to prosperity, I'd vote for him. In fact, I'm a Reagan and Huckabee fan. Why? I just like them for their grass roots family-oriented approach and the honest delivery. On the other hand, I can't stand Romney who comes off as someone I'd buy a used appliance from.
So I'm not an Obama fan, but quite honestly I just have the feeling that he'd make a better leader than McCain. Since we can't count executive experience for either of them, I'd tend to put my money on the guy I think has the higher IQ. Yes, I do value a smart man. I look down on the argument that a president doesn't have to be smart himself because he always has "brain packs" floating around him, because that was Bush and he turned out to be the worst ever.
Also, with Biden at his side they just look strong. McCain with Palin just looks old and weak.
Can't wait for the debates...but I really wish that people would trust smart this time.
And I lament the fact that I can't speak disparagingly of McCain without raising the "old man" and "weak woman" angles which may make me look prejudiced, but these are legitimate issues for me. I just know I'd rather have a man in his prime at the top of his game as a president over an old man and a woman. And it seems that the majority of even the women of the country would agree if the polls are an indication.
Feel free to let the opinions fly! ;D
